Ms. Hull
8th Grade Language Arts
Hello and welcome back to Monroe Middle School for your 8th grade year. I'm very excited to be joining the Monroe Mavericks this year. First let me tell you a little bit about myself. I received a BA in English from San Jose State University. Following my passion for literature and writing I then entered the teaching credential program at San Jose State as well, where I received both my Multiple Subject Credential, as well as my Single Subject Credential in English/Language Arts. I have since worked in both 8th and 5th grade classrooms.
This year we will be doing a variety of activities, including reading several novels. The first novel we will be reading is "Pay it Forward", a fantastic story about how one person can truly make a difference in the world. This story will lead us into the beginning stages of the 8th grade Exhibition project. I'm sure many of you have been anticipating Exhibition, and I am very excited to be here to help guide you all through it, as well as share your final year as middle school students.
